My review of Replicaddict.com took longer than anticipated due to some ridiculous delays with the shipping process, and when my watch arrived I was not impressed. It looked alright, but one of the more important features was missing, which I found particularly frustrating because they had specifically told me it would work. So after a month my review of Replicaddict.com is finally done. The verdict – needs improvement.
Quality: Are These Watches Any Good?
The look and feel of their copy watches seems pretty good, but what was disappointing was that the stopwatch mechanism didn't work, even though I'd asked about it specifically and they assured me it would. My friend didn't mind though and decided to keep it.
The Site: Usability and Design
This is by no means a bad looking site, featuring a simple design scheme and an easy to use layout. However, this site is not without its problems, and most of the issues seem to stem from just laziness. For example, they haven't really bothered to label the majority of their watches. All the Hublot copy watches are called “Japanese Hublot”, and it's the same with the other brands. So if you want to find something specific you have to scroll through all the photos until you recognize it. Nearly all the descriptions just say “coming soon”.
Service: Is Their Staff Any Good?
To their credit, these guys have a working phone line and chat, though it's rare that you are able to reach anyone through them. Email is the best way to go, they get back to you quickly enough and they're pretty helpful if you have questions.
Shipping: Is It Fast and Reliable?
The Hublot I bought was for a friend's birthday, and the shipping woes I had with this site meant it had to be a belated gift. More than a week after I placed my order they informed me that the model I wanted was out of stock, but that they would receive it shortly. After another week they wrote me again to say they would not be receiving it at after all, and they asked me to choose another model. By the time it arrived it had been over a month, and my friend's birthday was well over.
Return Policy: Is It Reasonable?
They say they charge a 15% “restocking fee”, and they insist you ship all merchandise back by courier with a tracking number. Put all those fees together and you could be paying more than $50 just to send back your watch.
The Bottom Line
The watch wasn't terrible other than the issue with the stopwatch feature, but I think you can do better than these guys. I would especially avoid them if you're in a hurry to get your merchandise!
